summer 2012 is lookin’ too fine.

there is so much greatness in this world. so many determined and motivated people to get to their prime goals. i made enough promises to myself to keep me going, but i’m constantly lying to myself to continue or even start my longtime journey and that just slows me down even more. i read about and watched people who have been told they can’t; it’s impossible. being away from home for 3 weeks has made me realize what kind of person i want to be. i recently finished school and i’m still in a pickle. i’ve taken a lot of good criticism from my teachers about my work. it has helped me to grow as the creative designer i want to be. the let down i had about this trip was someone telling me how useless my degree is. saying what can i do with it? this wasn’t directly said to my face, but knowing who said it broke my heart. as that moment was said, i was in another state of mind. shattered completely. until i spoke to my mom. the most comforting sound i’ve heard while being in this house. i took a step back to think about the many obstacles i have faced getting to where i am today. then my mind started placing all the pieces back together. no degree is ever useless. everyone’s ambition requires hard work and much perseverance. we all have a place in this world because we can face to make the impossible possible.
